We are excited to share the latest updates, events, and resources available to support our youngest learners. Our commitment to nurturing, stimulating, and exciting learning environments remains steadfast, and we are thrilled to see our students' growth and development.
Spotlight on Success:
This month, we are proud to highlight the achievements of our Seamless Day Childcare Facilitators at Godson Elementary - Juliane Leck and Meenu Chaudhary . The Seamless Day Kindergarten integrates before-and after-school care into the kindergarten classroom, delivered by certified early childhood educators (ECEs) who work alongside the classroom teacher. The program makes the best use of available school space, existing classrooms, outdoors, school gyms and libraries outside of school hours.
Highlights of the Month:
- Nature Thursday StrongStart: Join us for Nature Thursdays (all StrongStart sessions will take place in local parks), where we invite you to deepen your connection with nature by exploring the diverse landscapes and hidden treasures of Abbotsford’s parks. Together with your children, we will discover various habitats, engage our senses, and embrace the wonders of the outdoors through play and exploration. Click HERE to find the park location for all StrongStart Centers.
- Drop-In Programs: Our drop-in programs offer a welcoming space for parents and children to engage in play-based learning. We provide Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Saturday options. Check out our schedule for upcoming sessions HERE.
- Cultural Nights: The Early Years Department of the Abbotsford School District is excited to participate in monthly Cultural Nights at the Abbotsford Indigenous Centre, offering Early Learning activities. These events feature Pow Wows and other cultural activities, providing a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate Indigenous culture. Next Event will be on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025.
